4" RISER KIT for Fuel Pump

Standard black steel pipe nipple & merchant coupling. A riser kit is recommended when using a filter kit with a fuel pump. Raises fuel pump 4" which allows the filter to be easily accessible.  

1. Part Description:

Merchant couplings are also known as wrought iron couplings, but are actually made from merchant steel according to ASTM A865. The female threads are NPS straight tapped to 2" and taper tapped in larger sizes. Standard couplings are black steel dipped in rust preventative up to 2" and phosphate coated in larger sizes. Deep chamfers allow for easy assembly. Half couplings are chamfered at one end only.

Green Line standard pipe nipples are available in both black and galvanized steel in a wide range of sizes and lengths. Commonly used in water supply, fire protection, natural gas, and petrochemical applications, these Schedule 40 welded parts are made with steel according to ASTM A53 Type F CW. Black pipe nipples feature a carbon steel construction protected with a black oxide layer, while galvanized pipe nipples feature a uniform zinc layer which increases corrosion resistance and extends service life. All pipe threads meet ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 specifications. Longer pipe nipples are available on special order.
